Oxygen Transfer Pump Assembly
T
he MK 23 Mod 0 OTPA is used to charge up to six MK 16 MOD 0 gas bottles with an approved breathing O2/HeO2 source up to 3000 psi. The system is designed to interface with an HP or LP air source to drive the pump assembly. This air source can be ship’s air, SCUBA tanks, or air compressor. The O2/HeO2 supply source connects to the pump assembly and must meet purity requirements as defined in U.S.Navy Diving Manual, NAVSEA SS521-AG-PRO-010 current revision. The MK 23 Mod 1 OTPA is exactly the same as the Mod 0 except that it is capable of charging gas bottles to 3500 psi.
