MK 2 MOD 1 Flotation Bladder
MK2 MOD 1 F_ Bladder.jpg (21668 bytes) MK 2 MOD 0 Flotation Bladder
T
he MK 2 MOD 0 Flotation Bladder is a nylon-covered inflatable rubber sphere having a diameter of four feet when fully inflated, and used to raise underwater objects (mines, etc.) off the bottom. The bladder is inflated remotely by two attached SCUBA cylinders through an electrically initiated underwater actuated explosive device.

The Explosive Actuated Valve is a closed, electrically initiated, squib activated, control valve.

The Remote Cable Connector allows the EOD diver to pull the MK 2 MOD 0 Flotation Bladder underwater to the item to be recovered and to fire an explosive release valve remotely, allowing the bladder to fill with compressed air and rise to the surface.
