AN/PQS-2A Handheld Sonar
The AN/PQS-2A Sonar is a portable nonmagnetic, hand-held sonar used by a diver to assist in locating and closing on submerged objects using either an active or passive mode. The AN/PQS-2A Sonar is designed for one-hand use, and its small size provides for easy handling underwater.

The AN/PQS-2A Sonar has one passive and three active operating modes (20 yards, 60 yards, and 120 yards). The active mode transmits an acoustic signal over a 30 kHz bandwidth sweeping from 145 kHz to 115 kHz.
